Casa d'Annunzio

The Museum "Casa Natale di Gabriele d'Annunzio" is located on the 2nd floor of the building where the poet was born and spent his childhood. The original 19th century furnishings, with its elegant wall decorations and its contemporary furnishings that recur in the poet's work in the form of visions, impressions and memories, have been preserved and can be admired in the original today. Perceived by us as extraordinary today, the furnishings were of great importance to the poet even then, as for him the hou se interior reflected his family's affection and carried memories of his childhood - and were thus highly emotionally charged for the poet. On a tour you will pass through the first five rooms which form the original core of the museum and for each of which the poet gives a description in his work ‚Nocturne‘. In the following rooms photos, documents, books, casts and memorabilia that reflect the figure of the poet himself are exhibited. The museum is located 2 km from the Hotel Spazio Residenza.
